Madras, once known as bleeding madras for its tendency for the colours to run during laundering, is an airy patterned cotton print from India usually found on shorts, (for the real Ivy Look), but for me the Madras tie has seen a bit of a resurgence recently to brighten up the not so sunny days in London. The patterns may seem a bit loud but paired with a simple block coloured shirt, you're on to a summer winner.
