Steve McQueen- Man Up.

"I live for myself and I answer to nobody." Steve McQueen

The king of cool's style was all about clean cut masculinity, the All-American look with the no nonsense attitude. But also with that understatement and simplicity which make it an essential part of his appeal to men’s style today.

McQueen wore clothes that didn't scream to be seen, his timeless style showed that can be worn today and still look amazing. His uniform was neutral-coloured and plain: flat-front chinos, dark brown or tan suede desert boots, straight-leg jeans, the Harrington jackets, shawl-collar cardigans, basic T-shirts, denim shirts and sweat shirts. McQueen looked as at ease in a sweatshirt and chinos as he did in a three-piece suit, wearing both looks effortlessly.

Many of today’s designers make collections based on his thesis of his style, the likes of American Apparel or COS design menswear in the same vein. Keeping it simple.
